Last night, Shia Muslims of Sargodha were hosting a mourning congregation (Majlis-e-Aza) but police arrived and prevented the hosts not to do so. When the mourners began protest, police officials said they were ordered by higher authorities to do so.
They showed the notification of the government that banned the azadari congregations.
Shia Muslims have condemned the biased mindset of the Punjab administration against peaceful and patriot Shia of Pakistan. They vowed that they would not withdraw from exercising their inalienable fundamental human rights including cultural and religious rights.
They made it clear to the PMLN government at the Centre and in Punjab that they must behave like Pakistani followers of Jinnah’s ideology instead of representing their royal Saudi friends.
