A QUESTION BY; SURAN
THE ELABORATION OF THE QUESTION
When and how was the Shiite sect established and how can we say that more than a billion Moslems are wrong but the minority of the Shiites are right?
Our dear friend at first, we should say to you that in the logic of Qur’an never the majority is the clear mark of truthfulness as Allah the Almighty in every places of the holy Qur’an has stated to this point that
Allah the Almighty has stated 15 times in the holy book that
Most of them do not know
In the holy chapters; Anam (The Cattle) / 37, Araf (The Elevated) /131, Anfal (The Spoils of War) /34, Yunus / 55
And also He states in two cases that
Most of them do not think
The holy chapters; Ankabut (The Spider)/ 63. Al-Hujurat ( The Chambers)/ 4
From the other side if we take a look around then we will see that the majority of the world population consists of the Christians
According to the probes conducted by the global experts and statisticians and the conclusions drawn from these statistics and information of various countries the followers of the Christianity religion contains 33% of the whole population of the world right now, while the Moslems includes 21% of the world population and they are in the second rank
Thus if the majority is the criteria of truthfulness and we regard a group truthful merely as a result of the greater number of its members then you have to become Christian since according to your own view is it possible that 33% of the world population was wrong and 21% was right
If you be just and fair you will find out that you are making mistakes
But the real reason that why the population of the Sunnites is more than Shiites it requires a single discussion and it has various reasons now it is beyond our discussion and we can discuss about that later if you like to
But you have attributed the establishment of the truthful religion of Shiite to Safaviah this is injustice itself and we regard your remarks due to the lack of your knowledge pertaining to History and the points which have been mentioned in your own books then in order to make clear any ambiguity please pay attention to the below points
قال تعالى ( إن الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات أولئك هم خير البرية ) . لما نزلت هذه الآية قال الرسول لعلي يا علي ( ع ) هم أنت و شيعتك .

‘’As for, those who believe and do good, surly they are the best of men’’
The chapter Bayyinah ( The Clear Evidence) verse 7
When the verses ‘’As for, those who believe and do good, surly they are the best of men’’ has been revealed the holy prophet of GOD (peace and bless of GOD be upon him and his progeny) stated to the commander of the faithful (peace be upon him) that; the real intent of this verse is you and your Shiites
... أمير المؤمنين علي بن أبي طالب قال قال رسول الله ( صلى الله عليه وسلم ) يا علي إذا كان يوم القيامة يخرج قوم من قبورهم لباسهم النور على نجائب من نور أزمتها يواقيت حمر تزفهم الملائكة إلى المحشر فقال علي تبارك الله ما أكرم هؤلاء على الله قال رسول الله ( صلى الله عليه وسلم ) يا علي هم أهل ولايتك وشيعتك ومحبوك يحبونك بحبي ويحبوني بحب الله هم الفائزون يوم القيامة .
The commander of the faithful (peace be upon him) stated that; one day, the holy prophet of GOD (peace and bless of GOD be upon him and his progeny) stated to me that; O Ali, when the Day of Judgment comes some men come out from their own graves while their cloths are from the light and they are riding the camels from the light and their bridles are from ruby and the angels are along with them to the scene of Mahshar and I said that the blessed and supreme Lord how honorable they are in the eye of Allah the Almighty then in this moment the holy prophet of GOD (peace and bless of GOD be upon him and his progeny) stated that; those are the men who accepted your Imamate and Velayat and they are your friends and lovers and they love you for the sake of my friendship and they love me since they love Allah the Almighty and they will be saved in the resurrection day

روى ابن عساكر بإسناده عن جابر بن عبد اللّه، قال: كنّا عند النبي صلى اللّه عليه وسلّم، فأقبل علي بن أبي طالب، فقال رسول اللّه: «قد أتاكم أخي، ثمّ التفت اليالكعبة فضربها بيده. ثمّ قال: والذي نفسي بيده، إنّ هذا وشيعته لهم الفائزون يوم القيامة.
ثمّ قال: إنّه أوّلكم إيماناً معي، وأوفاكم بعهد اللّه، وأقومكم بأمر اللّه، وأعدلكم في الرعيّة، وأقسمكم بالسويّة، وأعظمكم عند اللّه مزية». قال: وفي ذلك الوقت نزلت فيه: (إِنَّ الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّلِحَتِ أُولَئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُ الْبَرِيَّةِ). البيّنة:7/98.
كان أصحاب محمد صلى اللّه عليه وسلّم إذا أقبل علي قالوا: قد جاء خير البرية.
Ibn Asaker has quoted from Jaber Ibn Abd Allah Ansari via his own proof that he said; we were in the presence of the holy prophet of GOD then suddenly Ali (peace be upon him) came in then in this moment the holy prophet of GOD stated that; your brother came, then he turned to Kaaba ( the temple of Mecca) and touched that and stated that I swear to GOD that my life is in his hand indeed this man and his Shiites will be save in the Day of Judgment
Then the holy prophet stated that; Ali is the man who believed in me and he is the most trustworthy man to the divine promise and the most steadfast man among all of you pertaining to the religions laws and the most righteous man pertaining to the inferior ones and the most just man among you and he is superior and more merit in the eyes of Allah the Almighty
Jaber says that; in this time the verse ‘’As for, those who believe and do good, surly they are the best of men’’ has been revealed pertaining to the dignity of Ali (peace be upon him) and when Ali (peace be upon him) comes the companions of the holy prophet of GOD said the best servant of GOD came

وعن ابن عباس ( رض ) قال : لما نزلت هذه الآية : ان الذين امنوا وعملوا الصالحات أولئك هم خير البرية قال : لعلي هو أنت وشيعتك تأتي يوم القيامة أنت وشيعتك راضين مرضيين ويأتي عدوك غضبانا مقحمين ...
Ibn Abbas says that; when the verse ‘’As for, those who believe and do good, surly they are the best of men’’ has been revealed then the holy prophet of GOD (peace and bless of GOD be upon him and his progeny) stated to Ali (peace be upon him) that; the real intent of the verse is you and your Shiites and in the Day of Judgment you and your Shiites came while Allah the Almighty is pleased with you and you are pleased with Him and your enemy came while he is angry and will be perished

... عن الشعبي عن علي قال : قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : " أنت وشيعتك في الجنة " .
Shobi has quoted from the commander of the faithful (peace be upon him) that the holy prophet of GOD (peace and bless of GOD be upon him and his progeny) stated that; O Ali you and your Shiites will be saved in the Day of Judgment

أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال لعلي أنت وشيعتك تردون على الحوض رواة مرويين بيضة وجوهكم وان عدوك يردون على الحوض ظمأ مقمحين .
The holy prophet of GOD (peace and bless of GOD be upon him and his progeny) stated to Ali (peace be upon him) that; O Ali, you and your Shiites will come to me near the pond of Kothar in the Day of Judgment while you are irritated and your face are white and luminous and your enemy will come to me near the pond of Kothar while he is thirsty and has been perished

There are around 40 narrations in the Sunnite sources pertaining to this concept
The names of some of the companions of the holy prophet of GOD who were Shiites
Zahabi says in the translation of Hojr Ibn Oday Ibn Jabalah Ibn Oday Ibn Rabiah
وهو حجر الخير ... أبو عبد الرحمن الشهيد . له صحبة ووفادة ... وكان شريفا ، أميرا مطاعا ، أمارا بالمعروف ، مقدما على الانكار ، من شيعة علي رضي الله عنهما .
He is Hojr Al-Khayr ( the irony that he is a good man) and his nickname is Abd Al-Rahman and who was martyred he is one of the companions of the holy prophet of GOD and he was a noble man and the real follower and he was pioneered invite the people to the good acts and to stop them in doing wicked deeds and he is one of the Shiites of Ali (peace be upon him)
-Siar Alam Al-Nobala v 3 p 463; under the translation of Hoj Ibn Oday
Zahabi says in the translation of Saeed Ibn Vahab Al-Hamedani Al-Khayvani Al-Kufi that
من كبراء شيعة علي ... أسلم في حياة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم .
He is one of the great Shiites of Ali (peace be upon him) who became Moslem in the life of the holy prophet of GOD (peace and bless of GOD be upon him and his progeny)
-Siar Alam Al-Nobala v 3 p 180; no 70; under the translation of Said Ibn Wahb
Ibn Abd Al-Bar says in the translation of Abu Al-Tofayl, Al-Sahabi that
أبو الطفيل عامر بن واثلة الكناني .. وقد ذكره ابن أبي خيثمة في شعراء الصحابة... وكان متشيّعاً في علي.

Abu Al-Tofayl Amer Ibn Vathelah Al-Kanani … Ibn Abi Khaythamah has mentioned his name among the poet companions and he was one of the Shiites of Ali (peace be upon him)
Ibn Abi Hadid says that
وكان سلمان من شيعة على ( عليه السلام ) وخاصته.
Salamn was one of the Shiites o f Ali (peace be upon him) and one of His Holiness’ unique companions

Masoudi Shafei says pertaining to the events of the demise of the holy prophet of GOD that
أن الإمام عليا أقام ومن معه من شيعته في منزله بعد أن تمت البيعة لأبي بكر .
When the allegiance to Abu Bakr was fulfilled Imam Ali (peace be upon him) took refuge in his own house along with his Shiites

Taqi Al-Din Sabki has mentioned the name of Shafei among the names of the Shafei scholars in the book Al-Tabaqat Al-Shafeiah

Dr. Sobhi Al-Saleh says that
كان بين الصحابة حتى في عهد النبي ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم ) شيعة لربيبه علي ، منهم : أبو ذر الغفاري ، والمقداد بن الأسود ، وجابر بن عبد الله ، وأبي بن كعب ، وأبو الطفيل عمر بن وائلة ، والعباس بن عبد المطلب وجميع بنيه ، وعمار بن ياسر ، وأبو أيوب الأنصاري.
Among the holy prophet of GOD’s companions even in the age of His Holiness were some Shiites of Ali- who were trained by the holy prophet of GOD- and some of them are; Abu Zar Qefari, Meqdad Ibn Asvad, Jaber Ibn Abd Allah, Abi Ibn Kab, Abu Tofayl Amer Ibn Vaelah, Abbas Ibn Abd Al-Motaleb, Jami Baniah, Amar Yaser and Abu Ayub Al-Ansari

Mohamamd Kord Ali says in the book Khatat Al-Sham that
عرف جماعة من كبار الصحابة بموالاة علي في عصر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ، مثل سلمان الفارسي ، القائل : بايعنا رسول الله على النصح للمسلمين ، والائتمام بعلي بن أبي طالب ، والموالاة له ، ومثل أبي سعيد الخدري ... ومثل أبي ذر الغفاري وعمار بن ياسر ، وحذيفة بن اليمان وذي الشهادتين ، وأبي أيوب الأنصاري ، وخالد بن سعيد ، وقيس بن سعد .
in the age of the holy prophet of GOD a great circle of the companions were known as the lovers and followers of Ali such as Salman that was saying; we sworn allegiance to the holy prophet of GOD via the interest of the Moslems and acceptance of Imamate and Velayat and friendship of Ali (peace be upon him) and such as Abi Saeed Khadri, Abi Zar Qefari, Amar Ibn Yaser, Hozayfat Ibn Yaman, Ze Shahadatayn, Abi Ayub Ansari, Khaled Ibn Saeed and Qyes Ibn Sad
-Khetat Al-Sham v 5 p 251-256
Ibn Hazm says that
وروينا عن نحو عشرين من الصحابة أن أكرم الناس على رسول الله ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم ) علي بن أبي طالب.
We have narrations from around 20 of the companions that the most honorable man in the presence of Allah the Almighty as well as the holy prophet of GOD (peace and bless of GOD be upon him and his progeny) is Ali Ibn Abi Taleb (peace be upon him)

The rise of Shiites according to the narrations of the Sunnites
Ibn Khaldon says that;
مبدأ دولة الشيعة: اعلم أنّ مبدء هذه الدولة، أنّ أهل البيت لمّا توفي رسول اللّه صلى اللّه عليه وسلّم كانوا يرون أنّهم أحق بالأمر وأنّ الخلافة لرجالهم دون سواهم من قريش.
وفي قصّة الشورى أنّ جماعة من الصحابة كانوا يتشيعون لعلي ويرون استحقاقه على غيره ولمّا عدل به إلى سواه تأففوا منه وأسفوا له مثل الزبير ومعه عمار بن ياسر والمقداد بن الأسود وغيرهم.
Ibn Khaldun says pertaining to the origin of Shiites that
And know that the origin of Shiites is that when the holy prophet of GOD (peace and bless of GOD be upon him and his progeny) passed away, Ahl Al-Bayt considered the Caliphate as their certain right and also believed that the men of Bani Hashem are the most merit man for the Caliphate and no other Qraysh men has no right
In the story of consul some of the companions were considered as the Shiites of Ali (peace be upon him) and believed that no other man except Ali (peace be upon him) is merit to become Caliph and when another man except Ali became the Caliph then they expressed their own hatred and regret such as Zobayr, Amar Ibn Yaser, Meqdad Ibn Asvad and the others

Master Mohammad Abd Allah Anan says that
من الخطأ أن يقال : إن الشيعة ظهرت ولأول مرة عند انشقاق الخوارج . بل كان بدء الشيعة وظهورهم في عصر الرسول ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم ) حين أمره الله بإنذار عشيرته في الآية 214 من الشعراء : (وأنذر عشيرتك الأقربين) ولبى النبي فجمع عشيرته في بيته وقال لهم مشيرا إلى علي : هذا أخي ووصيي وخليفتي فيكم فاسمعوا له وأطيعوا.
It is a mistake if we say that Shiites origin was dated to the plot of Khavaraj (apostate) rather than the Shiite was rooted in the age of the holy prophet of GOD’s life (peace and bless of GOD be upon him and his progeny) an din the early days of His Holiness’ prophecy it means when Allah the Almighty ordered His Holy prophet (guide your relatives and fear them from the punishment of the Day of Judgment) then the holy prophet of GOD obeyed the order of GOD and gathered his relatives in his own house while His Holiness was pointing to Ali (peace be upon him) with his hand and then stated to them; this man is my brother, heir and successor after me among you then obey and hear whatever he says

Abu Hatam Razi says that
الشيعة لقب لقوم كانوا قد ألفوا أمير المؤمنين علي بن أبي طالب - صلوات الله عليه - في حياة رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - وعرفوا به ، مثل سلمان الفارسي ، وأبي ذر الغفاري ، والمقداد بن الأسود ، وعمار بن ياسر ، وكان يقال لهم شيعة علي ، وأصحاب علي.
Abu Hatam Razi Sahel Ibn Mohammad Ibn Othman Sajestani who is one of the holy Qur’an sciences and a lexical expert- resided in Basrah- (died in 205 Hejrah) says in his own book called Al-zaynah that
Shiite was the title of those who were interested in the commander of the faithful Ali Ibn Abi taleb (peace be upon him) in the age of the holy prophet of GOD (peace and bless of GOD be upon him and his progeny) and they were known through the love of Ali such as Salamn Farsi, Abi Zar Qefari, Meqdad Ibn Asvad, Amar Ibn Yaser who were called Shiites and the companions of Ali

Zobayr Ibn Bakar says that
وكان عامّة المهاجرين وجلّ الأنصار لا يشكّون أنّ عليّاً هو صاحب الأمر بعد رسولاللّه.
The majority of the migrants and Ansars were certain that the commander of the faithful Ali (peace be upon him) is Imam as well as the Caliph after the holy prophet of GOD (peace and bless of GOD be upon him and his progeny)
